About Me

Hello, Friend!

Growing up with a father in the music industry, I’ve always loved the arts. I’ve dabbled in just about everything: dancing, singing, fashion and now, writing. For my closest friends this is a shock, for sure. I’ve always stunk at writing, and nearly panicked anytime I had a paper in school. But it’s funny how life will make a writer out of anyone. I adore stories, we all have one, and I hope to share mine with you.

Currently I live near our nation’s capital with my hot as Dean Winchester husband and two toddlers. Before this, believe it or not, I spent most of my adult life living with hundreds of college freshmen. Working in Residence Life, being a first-responder to student crisis, made me finally put my fingers to the keys of my laptop. There are just some experiences I do not want to forget.

Although I don’t live with students anymore, I still work with them, coaching them through life’s highs and lows. Being around my students is one of my favorite parts of the day. And this is where the writer in me emerges the most. I write about college students, hence why I have a pen name. I know this is a risk as a new author but I’ll keep you posted on how this goes.

In short, I’m a bubbly, fun-loving, dangerously optimist girl who hasn’t found a book yet that she hated. Books are about people and trying to understand them is thoroughly entertaining. So here on my blog, we chat about books, college, and Res Life.

Thanks so much for visiting!! Feel free to contact me. I’m pretty new at writing (and blogging), so I’d love to hear about your journey and inspirations.

This is what I usually see on my way to campus…I love the sky in autumn.
